During my recent stay at Viajero, I was pleasantly surprised by the culinary offerings. The complimentary breakfast was a simple affair, featuring scrambled eggs, toast, fresh fruit, cereal, and a choice of beverages. While the meal itself was satisfactory, my only concern arose from observing questionable hygiene practices in the kitchen area. For lunch, I decided to explore the delightful Viejo Barrio Restaurant and Bar, just a short walk away. The ambient atmosphere complemented the dishes quite well, and I found the local flavors intriguing. I recommend their grilled fish, seasoned expertly and served with a refreshing salad. The common areas of the hostel were well-maintained, providing a comfortable atmosphere to unwind. With easy access to a supermarket and various dining options, such as Club Social Paraiso and Amada Cafe, the location facilitated a convenient culinary exploration. Despite minor concerns, Viajero offers a balanced experience amidst a vibrant culinary scene. This adds a unique layer to one's travel adventure, appealing to those seeking to experience the authentic tastes of the region.
